abstract The invention discloses an architectural paint capable of absorbing ammonia and formaldehyde which is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 10-15 parts of orange plant peel extract, 10-20 parts of emulsion, 5-9 parts of iron whiting, 10-20 parts of humectant, 10-20 parts of quartz sand, 10-13 parts of wood fiber, 5-8 parts of hollow glass microsphere, 5-8 parts of graphite powder, 10-15 parts of kaolin, 0.3-0.5 part of thickener, 0.1-0.3 part of wetting agent, 0.3-0.5 part of dispersing agent, 0.1-0.2 part of mold preventive, 0.1-0.2 part of preservative, 10-20 parts of kieselguhr (80-180 meshes), 8-15 parts of open-pore expanded perlite (14-120 meshes) and 3-6 parts of hollow glass microsphere (120-200 meshes). The paint disclosed by the invention does not release formaldehyde, has low content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and can continuously and effectively remove formaldehyde, ammonia and other VOCs in air.
