abstract | The invention discloses applications of Tianshen capsules in preparation of a drug used for treating type 2 diabetes lipid metabolic disorders and atherosclerosis. The Tianshen capsules are capable of reducing serum total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) levels of rats (P<0.05); reducing free fatty acid (FFA) levels significantly (P<0.01); increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDLC), fasting insulin (FBIns) levels and insulin sensitivity index significantly (P<0.01), improving pancreas cytopathic effects, and reducing fasting blood-glucose content to a certain degree. It is discovered that: the effects of Tianshen capsules in improving glycometabolism and lipid metabolic disorders of experimental type 2 diabetic rats relate to the effects of Tianshen casules in improving insulin sensitivity of tissue. |
