The waste from factory production of the gallnut tannic acid is used as a raw material, organic substances of the tannic acid, the gallic acid and the like, which are rich in content in the production waste, are utilized and subjected to chemical catalytic conversion and synthesis to obtain the ellagic acid, therefore waste is made profitable, the efficient comprehensive utilization of a gallnut resource is achieved, the requirements for a high-purity ellagic acid product are met, the ellagic acid extracts at different purity specifications can be conveniently prepared, the high-purity ellagic acid product can be provided to the research on the pharmacology and drug efficacy of the ellagic acid and to the development of a functional terminal product, and the strategies of efficient comprehensive utilization of a limited resource and circular economy can be fully embodied.
