abstract The invention discloses a method for reducing cadmium content in grasses and vegetables. The method comprises the following steps of: applying 9kg-17kg of sodium silicate or potassium silicate per mu and 10kg-20kg of monopotassium phosphate per mu to cadmium-polluted soil on the basis of normal fertilizer application; seeding grasses or/and vegetables and carrying out normal management. The method for lowering cadmium content in grasses and vegetables disclosed by the invention can be used for effectively reducing the cadmium content in the crops and improving the crop yield, so that good application prospect is achieved in the agricultural field.
