abstract | The invention discloses shape-controlled battery grade iron phosphate and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) preparing reaction mother liquor; (2) dissolving raw materials in the mother liquor to form reaction liquor; (3) carrying out a hydrothermal reaction; and (4) filtering, washing and drying the product. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is simple in technical process and less in control parameters, and iron phosphate with regular shape can be obtained without any plasticizers and dispersants. The filtrate in the step (4) is recovered as the reaction mother liquor which can be repeatedly used, so that the method is saving and environmental-friendly. The iron phosphate prepared by the method is high in purity, wherein the ratio of phosphorus to iron is 1:1. The iron phosphate is formed by iron phosphate particles with regular shapes. The particles are combined by sheet or columnar primary particles in nanoscale. The shapes of the particles after combination are circular sheets, similar spheres, spheres or porous spheres. The monodispersity of the iron phosphate particles is good, and the diameter size is adjusted in the range of 1-50 mu m. |
