The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lithium secondary battery which includes a positive electrode equipped with a titanium composite oxide, e.g., Li2NiTiO4, and which has a high capacity and is reduced in cycle deterioration. This lithium secondary battery (100) is equipped with a positive electrode (10) and a negative electrode (20), wherein the positive electrode (10) has a solid solution between Li2M1TiO4 (wherein M1 is at least one metallic element selected from the group consisting of Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni) and LiM2O2 (wherein M2 is at least one metallic element selected from the group consisting of Mn, Co, and Ni). |
