To provide new polymer derivatives of cytidine metabolic antagonists that can release drugs independently of enzymes in living organisms and are expected to have high therapeutic effects. The macromolecule derivative of the cytidine metabolic antagonist is combined with the general formula (I) or the general formula (II) on the side chain carboxyl group of the block copolymer of the polyethylene glycol structural part and the polymer having more than 10 carboxyl groups indicated substituents. In the formula, R 7 and R 8 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a (C1-C6) alkyl group that may have a substituent, and R 6 represents a hydrogen atom, a (C1-C40) alkyl group that may have a substituent, or a (C1-C40) alkyl group that may have a substituent. (C1~C40) aralkyl groups, aryl groups that may have substituents, carboxy protected amino acid residues or sugar residues that may have substituents, CX-CY represents CH-CH or C=C (double bond ), A represents the residue of the 4-amino group of the cytidine metabolic antagonist. |
