The invention relates to a method for producing an aromatic amine by reacting a corresponding aromatic alcohol with an amination agent selected from the group consisting of ammonia, primary amines and secondary amines, in the presence of hydrogen and a catalyst molded body at a temperature of 60 to 300 DEG C, characterised in that the catalyst molded body contains Zr, Pd and Pt and is in the form of an annular tablet having an outer diameter in the range of 2 to 6 mm and a height in the range of 1 to 4 mm and an inner diameter of 1 to 5 mm or a topologically equivalent shape having the same volume. The invention further relates to catalyst molded bodies containing Zr, Pd and Pt, characterised in that the catalyst molded body is in the form of an annular tablet having an outer diameter in the range of 3 to 6 mm and a height in the range of 1 to 4 mm and an inner diameter of 2 to 5 mm or a topologically equivalent shape. |
