titleOfInvention Method for preparing chromium-aluminum tanning agent by utilizing chromium-containing aluminum mud and optional chromic chromate waste residues
abstract The invention provides a method for preparing a chromium-aluminum tanning agent. The method comprises the following steps of: a) dissolving chromium-containing aluminum mud and optional chromic chromate waste residues by sulfuric acid; b) adding a chelating agent to the acid-soluble mixture obtained in step a), wherein the chelating agent is on the basis of the chromium-containing aluminum mud, and the chelating agent contains 0.15 to 0.45wt% of chromic chromate waste residues based on the total weight when in use; and c) adding a reducing agent to the mixed system obtained in step b), wherein the reducing agent is capable of reducing hexavalent chromium into trivalent chromium; adding a flocculating agent after reducing 65 to 95% of hexavalent chromium; and then adding sufficient reducing agents to reduce the rest hexavalent chromium into trivalent chromium. The method is simple and clear in technological processes; the whole reaction process is free from heating and filter pressing, thus lots of energies can be saved, the production period can be decreased; in addition, the prepared chromium-aluminum tanning agent shows uniform color on a blue pelt while being applied to tanning, and no flaw and yellow spots appear; and the chromium-aluminum tanning agent is specifically suitable for being used for tanning a light-color leather.
