abstract | The invention provides a cathode active material, a preparation method thereof, and a lithium ion battery. The cathode active material comprises stannous hydrogen phosphate having particle sizes of 100-600nm. The lithium ion battery made through using the cathode active material has an obviously improved reversible specific capacity, an obviously improved energy density, a high first efficiency and a long cycle life. Only about 30% of anode lithium is consumed when the first discharge of the lithium ion battery is carried out. The cathode material has a good coupling with present anode materials, has the advantages of simplicity, easy obtaining, easy preparation, low cost, and easy commercial application, and establishes a base for the development of the lithium ion battery. |
