abstract The invention discloses a preparation method of a supported phosphorus-vanadium catalyst and a method for synthesizing methyl acrylate by use of the supported phosphorus-vanadium catalyst, and relates to a preparation method of a catalyst and a method for synthesizing methyl acrylate by use of the catalyst. Through the invention, the technical problem that a catalyst prepared by an existing method is easily deactivated and consequently the catalytic activity is reduced is solved. The preparation method of the catalyst comprises the following steps of: (I) preparing steeping liquid; and (II) preparing a suspension, mixing the suspension with the steeping liquid, evaporating to dryness, firing, grinding and screening to obtain the catalyst. According to the invention, the supported phosphorus-vanadium catalyst prepared by taking three-dimensional ordered macroporous silicon dioxide as a carrier of a supported phosphorus-vanadium active component has a three-dimensional ordered cage structure, and the active center is uniformly supported on the catalyst; the V species in the active component of the catalyst is in amorphous phase and contains species V<4+> and V<5+>; and the aldol condensation reaction is facilitated under the synergistic effect of the species V<4+> and V<5+>. Through the invention, the prepared catalyst is applied to the field of synthesis of methyl acrylate.
