abstract |
The organic molecular memory of the embodiment includes: a first conduction layer; a second conduction layer; and an organic molecular layer provided between the first conduction layer and the second conduction layer and containing molecules selected from the group consisting of molecules having molecules in the molecular system. Organic molecules with a skeleton and molecules satisfying both the following conditions (I) and (II), wherein the molecular skeleton has a π-electron system extending along the molecular axis: (I) the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied One of the molecular orbitals (LUMO) is delocalized along the molecular axis and the other is localized relative to the molecular axis; and (II) the energy level value of the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) is -5.75 eV or higher. |
