The invention discloses a rubber tree aquaporin, and a coding gene and application thereof. The cDNA (complementary deoxyribonucleic acid) sequence of the gene is 1462bp long, and the gene has the sequence disclosed as SEQ ID NO:2 in the sequence table, and is named HbPIP2;3; the HbPIP2;3 codes 285 amino acids, and has the sequence disclosed as SEQ ID NO:1 in the sequence table; the molecular weight is 30.34kDa, the isoelectric point is 9.18, the charged number is -6.81, and the aquaporin is a basic protein; and the HbPIP2;3 has the function of aquaporin, and the overexpression of the coding gene or functional derived gene obtained by substitution and/or insertion and/or deletion of one or more base pairs into other animals and plants can enhance the water transfer efficiency. Tapping, ethrel stimulation and other measures can be taken to induce the expression of the gene in the rubber tree bark and latex to dilute the latex and prolong the rubber discharge time, thereby enhancing the latex yield. |
