Alkaline battery separator and alkaline battery using separator |
abstract |
Provided in the present invention are: an alkaline battery separator suitable for alkaline batteries which use alkaline electrolyte; and an alkaline battery using this separator. The alkaline battery separator is provided with two or more layers, comprising sparse layers and dense layers, and the sparse layers are provided with alkali-resistant cellulose fibers constituting 25-65% of the total mass. The alkali-resistant cellulose fibers comprise alkali-resistant cellulose fibers with differing freeness. The difference between the freeness values range between 300 ml and 700 ml, and the freeness of the entirety of the alkali-resistant cellulose fibers ranges between 350 ml and 650 ml. The dense layers contain alkali-resistant cellulose fibers, and the freeness value of the entirety of the alkali-resistant cellulose fibers ranges between 0 ml and 400 ml. The maximum pore size existent in the separator is 65 [mu]m or less, and liquid absorption is 5g/g or more. |
