abstract The invention provides an RH refining furnace, an insertion tube thereof and a preparation method. The insertion tube comprises a tubular steel structure, refractory bricks built on the inner wall of the steel structure and a pouring layer formed on the outer wall of the steel structure, wherein the pouring layer includes lower and upper pouring layers contacted with each other; the upper pouring layer is not contacted with molten steel when undergoing vacuum cycle degassing refining; and the lower pouring layer is contacted with the molten steel when undergoing vacuum cycle degassing refining and comprises 1.0-4.0% of nano zirconia powder, 2.0-5.0% of alumina hollow balls and the balance of components the same as the components of the upper pouring layer. The insertion tube is provided with the pouring layer with components and high temperature performance changing in a gradient manner, thus the insertion tube has good thermal shock resistance and longer service life.
