abstract The invention discloses an inorganic cementing material retarding method. Various organic and inorganic composite retarding systems are introduced in phosphate cementing material, and particularly heterocyclic compounds are introduced to serve as an efficient retarder. The components used as the retarder in the retarding method comprise the heterocyclic compounds, polyhydric alcohol and derivatives thereof, hydroxyl carboxylic acid and salt thereof, amino carboxylic acid and salt thereof and inorganic salt. Organic retarders such as the heterocyclic compounds, polyhydric alcohol and derivatives thereof, hydroxyl carboxylic acid and salt thereof, and amino carboxylic acid and salt thereof are added on the basis of conventional inorganic salt retarder, and the mixing amount of the retarder is controlled within 5% (relative to the quality of magnesium oxide), so that the retarding effect is stably improved, and the initial setting time of the phosphate cementing material is controllable within 1.5 hours; and meanwhile, according to the retarding effect, the early compressive strength of the phosphate cementing material is not affected, the later compressive strength of the phosphate cementing material to improve with the delay of the age is not affected, and the excellent adhesiveness and adhesion of the phosphate cementing material are not affected.
