The carpet sterilizing agent comprises the following components in parts by weight: 6-12 parts of sodium coconutt fatty-acyl glutamate, 2-5 parts of sodium benzoate, 3-5 parts of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid, 10-20 parts of polyethylene glycol oleate, 4-9 parts of salicylic acid, 12-16 parts of phenol benzoate, 20-30 parts of propanediol, 2-5 parts of sodium perborate, 0.2-0.5 parts of essence and 1000-2000 parts water. Compared with the prior art, the carpet sterilizing agent and the preparation of the carpet sterilizing agent disclosed by the invention have the following beneficial effects that (1) the carpet sterilizing agent has good sterilization effect and can effectively kill various harmful bacteria; and (2) the preparation method is simple in preparation process and low in cost.
