abstract | Provided is a method for producing a lithographic printing plate with excellent web reproduction and printing durability, and capable of adapting to environmental, space conservation, and low running cost concerns, without preheating after exposure, and comprising a step (a) and a step (b), outlined below. (a) An exposure step wherein a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising, in order, a supporting body, a light-sensitive layer including a polymerizable compound and a binder polymer, and a protective layer, is exposed imagewise; and (b) a developing step wherein the exposed lithographic printing plate precursor is developed in developing solution without any heat treatment being applied; wherein the time from when imagewise exposure of the lithographic printing plate precursor is completed until the lithographic printing plate precursor comes in contact with the developing solution is less than one minute. |
