The general formula of the negative pole active substance is Li(4-x)M1xTi(5-y)M2yO12, wherein M1 is selected from Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Y, Zr, Nb, Ag, In, Sn, La, Ce, Ta, W, La and Ce; M2 is selected from Li, Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, In, Sn, Ta, W, La and Ce; x is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 4, and y is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 0.5; preferably, M1 is selected from Na and Cu; M2 is selected from Mg, Al, Cu, Zn, Zr and Nb; x is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 2, and y is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 0.2; most preferably, M1 is Na; M2 is selected from Mg, Al, Cu and Nb; and x is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 1, and y is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 0.5. The invention also provides a method for preparing the negative pole active substance and application of the negative pole active substance in preparing a sodium ion battery negative pole material, a sodium ion battery anode and a sodium ion battery.
