abstract The invention discloses cigarette environment-friendly high-speed packaging glue and a preparation method thereof. The environment-friendly high-speed packaging glue uses vinyl acetateethylene emulsion (VAE) as base stock, environment-friendly plasticizer and maleated rosin are added, the environment-friendly plasticizer can be tributyl citrate or epoxidized soybean oil, and blocking is carried out on hydroxyl groups of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) through amino resin. Aldehydes materials and phthalic acid ester materials are not detected in the obtained environment-friendly high-speed packaging glue, and residual quantity of vinyl acetate monomers is quite low; at the same time, the environment-friendly high-speed packaging glue is good in primary adhesiveness and water resisting property, stable in adhesiveness, and capable of being suitable for walking machine performance of cigarette speed larger than 1000 packs per minute.
