titleOfInvention | Modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate biuret curing agent and preparation method thereof |
abstract | The invention relates to a modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate biuret curing agent and a preparation method of the curing agent. The curing agent is obtained by reaction among divalent alcohol, water and MDI (diphenylmethane diisocyanate) in an organic solvent, wherein the molar ratio of divalent alcohol to MDI is 0.05-0.2:1, and the molar ratio of water to residual MDI is 1:3-3.2. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: firstly, modifying partial MDI with divalent alcohol, dividing metered water into a plurality of parts, then adding step by step; after the first part of water is added, reacting at 70-100 DEG C, then raising a temperature to 120-140 DEG C to react, and cooling to 70-100 DEG C; adding the second part of water, cycling the above technology process till the metered water is completely added, and reacting to generate the MDI curing agent with a partial biuret structure. The curing agent is clear and transparent in appearance, and is mainly used for a polyurethane coating and an adhesive; therefore, comparing with a common MDI prepolymer curing agent, the curing agent has characteristics of high NCO percentage content and slow curing speed. |
