abstract | The invention discloses a silage additive and a preparation method and application of the silage additive. The active ingredient of the silage additive is a composition of (a) or (b) as follows: a composition consisting of an extract of radix astragali and an extract of fructus crataegi; and the two extracts are mixed together or separately packed. The prepared silage has at least one of the following characteristics: (1) the content of crude protein is higher than that in the control group; (2) the ratio of ammoniacal nitrogen to silage additive is lower than that in the control group; (3) the content of neutral detergent fiber is lower than that in the control group; (4) the content of acid detergent fiber is lower than that in the control group; (5) the pH value is lower than that in the control group; and (6) the content of lactic acid is higher than that in the control group, and the content of butyric acid is lower than that in the control group. |
