abstract | The invention discloses protein related to carbon and nitrogen metabolism, as well as encoding gene and application thereof. The protein provided by the invention is protein (a) or (b): (a) the protein formed by amino acid sequence represented in sequence 2 of a sequence table; and (b), the protein derived from the sequence 2, obtained through replacing and/or deleting and/or adding one or more amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence represented in sequence 2 of a sequence table, and related to starch content in a plant tissue. The experimental results show that in the IbSnRK1 protein and the encoding gene thereof, provided by the invention, the gene is transferred to wild-type tobacco to obtain transgenic tobacco, and research finds out that compared with wild-type tobacco, the starch content in transgenic tobacco leaves is improved, which shows that the protein and the encoding gene thereof have important application value in improving the starch content of tobacco leaves; and the protein, the encoding gene and the application thereof have wide application range and market prospect. |
