abstract | An EL element that is thicker than conventional EL elements and has a lower driving voltage without doping acceptors or donors. Among them, an electroluminescence film 103 containing an organic compound capable of providing electroluminescence, a floating electrode 104, an electron transport support layer 105, and a cathode 102 are sequentially stacked on the anode 101. The film thickness of the electroluminescent film 103 is on the order of a conventional film thickness (on the order of about 100 nm), and the electron transport supporting layer 105 may also have a film thickness on the order of the electroluminescent film 103 . By introducing a hole blocking material into the electron transport supporting layer, this EL element can be driven at a lower voltage than conventional EL elements. |
