titleOfInvention Method for bleaching shellac resin
abstract The invention discloses a method for bleaching shellac resin. The method comprises the steps of adding a bleaching agent and a stabilizer to lac dissolved in a sodium carbonate solution, carrying out oxidation-reduction reaction for removing impurities to prepare leached lac. By adopting the method disclosed by the invention, the problem of a great amount of combined chlorine existing in shellac resin bleached by sodium hypochlorite is avoided; and the possibility of generating the combined chlorine is fundamentally solved. Thus, bleaching of the shellac resin and clean and environment-friendly bleaching process is achieved; application limitations of the bleached lac in the industries such as food, medicine and cosmetics due to existence of the combined chlorine are overcome; and safe and nontoxic products without residue are provided to the downstream industry. The technical index value of lac bleached by the method disclosed by the invention reaches and exceeds the national standard [GB/T8140-2009 bleached lac].
