abstract The invention discloses a preparation method of an aliphatic metal polymer liquid crystal material containing a ferrocenyl on a main chain, which comprises the following steps of: mixing 1,1-ferrocenyl formyl chloride with an aliphatic monomer; in presence of inert gas, sequentially adding an organic solvent and a catalyst; stirring and implementing a refluxing reaction for 4-10hours at 25-75 DEG C; after the reaction, filtering, and decompressing and evaporating a filtrate; extracting or dissolving a condensate by methylene dichloride; washing the extracting liquid or solution by water or depositing in methanol; collecting an organic phase, evaporating or leaching to obtain a deposit; and drying in a vacuum environment to obtain the aliphatic metal polymer liquid crystal material containing a ferrocenyl on the main chain. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is simple in synthesis process, and excellent in thermal stability and liquid crystal performance of the product.
