titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of substituted 1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-ones |
abstract | Process for the preparation of 1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-ones, starting from thioalkyl or thiocycloalkyl substituted indol-2-one compounds, comprising a) combining thioalkyl or A thiocycloalkyl-substituted indol-2-one compound is dissolved or suspended in a polar solvent, b) a sulfur-containing salt is added to said solution or suspension, and c) the reaction mixture is brought under reflux at a temperature heated at temperatures up to the boiling point of the polar solvent. The 1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one prepared by the invention is used as an intermediate for synthesizing pharmaceutical and/or agricultural fine chemicals and active ingredients. |
