abstract The invention provides an ornament electrode which is capable of simultaneously determining DA (dopi amine) and UA (uric acid) electrochemistry characteristic. The ornament electrode is characterized in that a nude carbon paste electrode is placed in a nicotinic acid solution so as to circularly scan in a minus 2.0V-2.0V potential range so as to manufacture a poly-nicotinic acid ornament electrode; and carbon nanometer pipes are purified and dispersed in a phosphate buffer solution, the dispersion solution is dripped on the poly-nicotinic acid ornament electrode, so that the carbon nanometer pipe/poly-nicotinic acid composite ornament electrode is manufactured. The ornament electrode can be used for separately determining the DA or UA electrochemistry characteristic, and measuring the telephony characteristic of a DA or UA coexisting system; and the carbon nanometer pipes are uniformly dispersed on the surface of the poly-nicotinic acid ornament electrode, the ornament layer is very firm, the circulating volt-ampere measurement is performed, and the DA or UA on the ornament electrode has a good oxidation-reduction peak. The manufactured electrode provided by the invention has the advantages that the measured sensitivity and selectivity are high, and the electrode has good stability and reproducibility; and the ornament layer of the electrode is firm, so that the service life of the electrode achieves more than 5 months.
