abstract | The invention discloses novel uses of a synechocystis protein. The novel uses comprise a use of a synechocystis protein shown in the sequence 2 of the sequence table in improvement of plant chlorophyll content and/or plant flag leaf length, and a use of an encoding gene of the synechocystis protein shown in the sequence 2 of the sequence table in improvement of plant chlorophyll content and/or plant flag leaf length. Through a transgenosis experiment introducing an s111594 gene into rice, it is shown that chlorophyll content and flag leaf length of the rice with the s111594 gene are improved obviously and thus it is proved that the s111594 gene and its encoding product have important theoretical and practical meanings for cultivation of novel crop species producing stronger photosynthesis and can be used for cultivation of agricultural high-yield plants. |
