abstract The invention discloses herbal tea containing stephania and a preparation method thereof. The herbal tea comprises the following materials in parts by weight: 20-30 parts of stephania, 20-30 parts of limacia sagittata, 10-20 parts of semen cassia, 5-15 parts of radix ophiopogonis, 5-10 parts of honeysuckle, 5-10 parts of momordica grosvenori and 2-5 parts of dried orange peel. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: weighing materials in parts by weight, cutting up the materials for standby; adding the stephania, the limacia sagittata, the semen cassia and the radix ophiopogonis to a container, and then adding water which is 30-40 times the total weight of the materials, boiling, and carrying out high heat on the mixture for 20-40 minutes; adding the honeysuckle, the momordica grosvenori and the dried orange peel to the mixture for re-boiling, and carrying out gentle heat on the mixture for 1-2 hours; and filtering sludge, remaining solution, cooling, precipitating and re-filtering to obtain the herbal tea containing the stephania. The herbal tea provided by the invention not only has the effects of clearing away heat and toxic materials, cooling and relieving summer heat, and stopping a cough and moistening lung, but also has the effects of reducing blood fat and blood pressure, treating stranguria and facilitating dieresis, diminishing inflammation and relieving pains, helping producing saliva and slake thirst, relieving constipation and improving immunity of a body.
