abstract The invention provides a lamp for improving the work efficiency and the sleep quality of ship crew by using an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light source. The lamp comprises four parts, namely a lamp body (1), a lamp body drive (2), a switch selector (3) and a lamp transparent cover (4). The lamp is characterized in that the lamp body (1) consists of three LED lamps, namely a blue light LED lamp (11) with the wavelength of 425-495 nm, a second blue light LED-excited YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) fluorescent powder white light LED lamp (12) with the wavelength of 425-495 nm and a red light LED lamp (13) with the wavelength of 625-655 nm, wherein the color temperature of the white light LED lamp (12) is 4000-5000K or 2700-3300K. The invention further provides a method for improving the work efficiency and the sleep quality of the ship crew by using the LED light source.
