abstract The invention relates to a high-efficiency carbazole compound and an organic electroluminescent device containing it. According to the present invention, a compound for an organic electroluminescent device and an organic electroluminescent device comprising the compound are provided, wherein a carbazole-based phosphine oxide as a compound for an organic electroluminescent device is used to overcome the organic electroluminescence. Of the problems of conventional compounds for luminescent devices, namely, unstable thermal stability and low efficiency, in particular, the compounds of the present invention exhibit excellent efficiency in pure blue phosphorescent devices.
