abstract The invention discloses a production device capable of producing 100,000 tons of formic acid per unit per year, which mainly comprises a carbonyl reactor, a methyl ester rectifying tower, a methyl ester storage tank, a first hydrolysis reactor, a second hydrolysis reactor, a primary acid tower, a secondary acid tower and a tertiary acid tower, wherein the bottom outlet of the carbonyl reactor is connected with the middle inlet of the methyl ester rectifying tower, the top condensate of the methyl ester rectifying tower is connected with the top of the methyl ester storage tank, the bottom outlet of the methyl ester storage tank is connected with the bottom of the first hydrolysis reactor, the upper outlet of the first hydrolysis reactor is connected with the lower inlet of the second hydrolysis reactor, the upper outlet of the second hydrolysis reactor is connected with the middle inlet of the primary acid tower, the bottom outlet of the primary acid tower is connected with the middle inlet of the secondary acid tower, the lower outlet of the secondary acid tower is connected with the middle inlet of the tertiary acid tower, carbon monoxide gas distributors are arranged in the carbonyl reactor, and the first hydrolysis reactor and the second hydrolysis reactor adopt an internal heating method. The production device capable of producing 100,000 tons of formic acid per unit per year has the advantages that the device is safe and simple to operate, the production links are reduced, the production cost is decreased, the service life of equipment is prolonged and the economic benefits are improved.
