abstract | The invention discloses a zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber adsorber and application of the zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber adsorber for removing phosphates from a water body. According to a zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber, zirconium oxide nano particles are loaded on the surface of the active carbon fiber by a liquid phase synthesis method. The method for preparing the zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber comprises the following steps of: adding the pre-treated active carbon fiber and zirconium propoxide into anhydrous methylbenzene, performing ultrasonic dispersion, carrying out heating reflux in inert gas for performing zirconium reaction, separating and washing a reaction product, and drying the product in vacuum to obtain the zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber. As an adsorber, the zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber can be applied to the water body to adsorb and remove phosphates. When used for adsorbing and removing phosphates from the water body, the zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber shows high adsorbing property; the adsorber is easy to prepare; the raw materials are easily available; the operation is easy; and a treatment effect is outstanding. Therefore, the zirconium oxide modified active carbon fiber is applied to treatment of phosphorus waste water and has high economical and environmental benefits. |
