abstract |
The present invention provides a polycarbonate resin excellent in optical characteristics, color tone, thermal stability, and mechanical properties, and a transparent film formed of the polycarbonate resin. The polycarbonate resin of the present invention has a glass transition temperature of not less than 110°C and not more than 150°C, and a dichloromethane solution having a concentration of 0.6 g/dL of the polycarbonate resin has a relative viscosity of not less than 0.30 and not more than 0.46 at 20°C. Hereinafter, the ratio (Re450/Re550) of the retardation (Re450) measured at a wavelength of 450 nm to the retardation (Re550) measured at a wavelength of 550 nm of the film obtained by molding the resin is 0.50 or more and 0.93 or less. |
