abstract The invention relates to a method for refining polyacrylic resin IV and belongs to the field of medical auxiliary materials. The method comprises the following steps: adding raw materials into a proper amount of organic solvent, dissolving, decoloring, adding a proper amount of water, separating out the product, filtering and storing under the sealing condition; or adding a proper amount of water, suspending, adjusting the pH value to be less than 5 by using acid to dissolve, decoloring, adjusting the pH value to be more than 11 by using alkali, separating out the product, filtering, washing, drying and storing under the sealing condition. The polyacrylic resin IV is prepared by the simple and quick method, wherein each item of standard is high; the content of each monomer is strictly controlled; the impurity limit is as follows: methyl methacrylate is not less than 0.1 percent, butyl methacrylate is not less than 0.1 percent, and methacrylic acid-2-(dimethylamino)ethyl ester is not less than 0.1 percent; and the purity of the polyacrylic resin IV is far higher than that of the conventional polyacrylic resin IV applied to industry.
