titleOfInvention Magnetic similar material
abstract The invention discloses a magnetic similar material and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the magnetic rock-soil body similar material and preparation method thereof. The similar material is obtained by preparing quartz sand, heavy calcium carbonate powder, bentonite, neodymium iron boron and water according to the mass percentage. The preparation method comprises the steps of weighing neodymium iron boron, heavy calcium carbonate powder, bentonite and quartz sand; mixing and stirring the neodymium iron boron, the heavy calcium carbonate powder, the bentonite and the quartz sand uniformly; and adding water to uniformly stir the mixture. The similar material is nonmagnetic before magnetizing and is magnetic after magnetizing; the suffered magnetic force can achieve simulation of the gravitational field after the material is put in the magnetic field. The similar material has mechanical properties meeting those of the rock-soil body, is wide in material source, is easy to process, does not need to be maintained, and is low in cost and is nontoxic. The similar material has the advantages: (1) the cohesive force is 0-110kPa and the internal friction angle is 7-32 degrees, which meet related mechanical properties of the rock-soil body; (2) the similar material can regulate corresponding mechanical properties by regulating proportion to simulate different rock-soil materials; (3) magnetic value can be regulated with adjustment of neodymium iron boron content; and (4) the success rate of test is improved.
