The Chinese herbal medicine ointment for treating sheep mite comprises the following components in part by weight: 90-110 parts of vaseline, 20-25 parts of sulphur powder, 50-60 parts of radix euphorbiae lantu, 50-60 parts of radix stemonae, 15-20 parts of broom cypress fruit, 15-20 parts of cnidium fruit, 15-30 pars of prickly ash, and 5-10 parts of sodium benzoate. The preparation method comprises the following steps: radix euphorbiae lantu, radix stemonae, broom cypress fruit, cnidium fruit and prickly ash are crushed and sieved by a 60-mesh sieve to obtain traditional Chinese medicine powder; and vaseline is melted, added with sulphur powder and the traditional Chinese medicine powder, stirred uniformly, slightly boiled for 10 minutes, then added with sodium benzoate preservative, mixed uniformly and cooled to obtain a finished product. The active ingredients of the ointment are strong in penetrance and have remarkable killing effect and prevention effect on both itch mite and sarcoptic mite; and the Chinese herbal medicine ointment has the advantages of quickness in biological degradation, no toxic residue, rich raw material resources and simple processing technology.
