abstract The invention relates to a fluorine-containing epoxy resin, and a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing di-n-butyl malonate, methylbenzene and tetrabutyl ammonium hydroxide at 30-60 DEG C to react for 1-20 hours, adding tetrahydrofuran and fluorine-containing monomer to react for 0.1-3 hours, and reacting the reaction product with trifluoroacetic acid and dioxane at 0-100 DEG C for 0.5-6 hours to obtain a carboxyl-terminated fluorine-containing polymer; and under inert-gas protection, reacting the fluorine-containing polymer with glycidol, organic solvent, dehydrating agent and catalyst at 0-100 DEG C for 1-60 hours, thereby obtaining the fluorine-containing epoxy resin. The fluorine content in the fluorine-containing epoxy resin is high; and the preparation method is simple. The fluorine-containing epoxy resin is used for preparing epoxy resin paint.
