titleOfInvention Method for production of useful secondary metabolites via culturing aralia elata somatic embryos
abstract A method for production of useful secondary metabolites via culturing aralia elata somatic embryos, which is characterized by: 1), performing suspension culture for embryogenic calluses obtained from sterile seedling root segments in shake flasks in the differentiation culture condition and the proliferation culture condition; 2) taking materials from somatic embryos at different developmental stages regularly and calculating the amount of biomass growth of each materials; 3) analyzing the accumulation of aralia elata total saponins, oleanolic acid, and total flavonoids in materials of each developmental stages of the somatic embryos; and 4) that the contents of each of the secondary metabolites are highest in somatic embryo seedlings, wherein the content of total saponins in the somatic embryo seedlings accounts for 29.7% the content of total saponins in the root of cultivated plants; the content of the oleanolic acid in the somatic embryo seedlings accounts for 29.9% the content of total saponins in the root of cultivated plants; and the content of total flavonoids in the somatic embryo seedlings account for 42.8% the content of total flavonoids in the leaf of cultivated plants; and the accumulation efficiencies of the three substances are maximum in somatic embryo seedlings, which respectively are: 6.72mg/weeks of the total saponins, 3.42mg/week of the oleanolic acid, and 7.36mg/week of the total flavonoids.
