abstract | Disclosed are: a method for forming a multi-layered coating film, which enables the formation of a multi-layered coating film having excellent adhesion to a base material, particularly a plastic material, and also having extremely excellent weather resistance and scratch resistance; and a coated article involving the multi-layered coating film. Specifically disclosed is a method for forming a multi-layered coating film, which is characterized by comprising the steps of: (1) forming an undercoating film on a base material using an undercoating composition (I); and (2), subsequent to the formation of the undercoating film, forming a top-coating film on the undercoating film using an activity-energy-ray-curable top-coating composition (II) which comprises (a) a silsesquioxane compound having organic groups directly bound to silicon atoms wherein at least one of the organic groups directly bound to silicon atoms is an organic group having an urethane bond and one (meth)acryloyloxy group and (b) a photopolymerization initiator. |
