abstract In-vitro activity experiments show that Gypensapogenin A has very strong activity against helicobacter pylori (Hp). Gypensapogenin A can be applied to treating acute and chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and other diseases and preparing medicaments for treating acute and chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. The application of Gypensapogenin A in preparing medicaments against helicobacter pylori, involved in the invention, is disclosed for the first time. As the skeleton type is unusual, and the activity of Gypensapogenin A on inhibiting helicobacter pylori is unexpectedly strong, the possibility that any enlightenments are given by other compounds does not exist. Gypensapogenin A has prominent substantive features and has notable progress when being used for preventing and curing helicobacter pylori infection.
