abstract The invention provides a method for leaching rare earth elements from nickel oxide ore. The method includes mixing nickel oxide ore with concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain a first mixture, curing the first mixture to obtain cured nickel oxide ore, roasting the cured nickel oxide ore to obtain roasted nickel oxide ore and performing water-leaching on the roasted nickel oxide to obtain a leaching solution or leaching slag containing rare earth elements. The method can effectively leach rare earth elements from nickel oxide ore.
