abstract | The invention relates to the technical field of medicines, specifically to application of a flavonoid compound WX-03 (7-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyoxy]flavone) in relaxation of vascular smooth muscles. Research shows that: WX-03 can reduce the tension of domestic rabbit isolated vascular smooth muscles, can relax vascular smooth muscle contraction caused by spasm inducing agents norepinephrine and potassium chloride, and the blood vessel relaxation effect of WX-03 is likely to have nothing to do with ATP sensitive potassium channels; and the blood vessel relaxation effect of WX-03 is related to calcium channel inhibition. The minimum effect taking concentration is 3*10<-5>mol/L. The 7-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyoxy]flavone has guiding significance on treating hypertension so as to reduce the damage on target organs, and reducing cerebral stroke, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, heart failure, renal failure and other serious complications and other diseases. |
