abstract The invention relates to a high-performance PBT (polybutylece terephthalate) halogen-free flame retardant modified material and a preparation method thereof. The high-performance PBT halogen-free flame retardant modified material comprises the following raw materials by weight percent: 36-65% of PBT resin, 2-20% of halogen-free phosphonium flame retardant, 10-40% of nitrogenous compound, 0.5-2% of coupling agent, 0.2-0.6% of antioxidant, 0.6-2% of lubricating agent, 5-20% of toughening agent and 5-10% of bulking agent. The product produced by the high-performance PBT halogen-free flame retardant modified material has an outstanding flame retardant effect with a flame retardant grade of UL-94V-0 and better meets the environment-friendly standard requirement in comparison with the conventional flame retardant. The toughening agent and the bulking agent are added and can be well compatible with each other, so that the problems of high interface energy and poor compatibility between any two of most of high molecular polymer blends are solved, so as to provide the product with more outstanding mechanical properties. And meanwhile, the influence of the used glass fiber on the appearance quality of the product is avoided and the product processing cost is reduced.
