titleOfInvention | Method for producing phenylhydrazine |
abstract | The invention provides a method for producing phenylhydrazine (II), and the method has excellent yields. More specifically, the invention provides a method for producing phenylhydrazine (II) which comprises the following steps: diazonium salt (I) is reacted with at least one substance selected from sulfite and hydrosulphite in the presence of water; a reaction mixture obtained is contacted with an acid for refining; and the mixture is mixed with alkali at a temperature of 0 to 20 DEG C to regulate the pH of the mixture to a range of 8 to 11. In the diazonium salt (I) and the phenylhydrazine (II), R1 is preferably methoxyl. |
