abstract The invention discloses a layer structure composite material bumper with a panel composite function and a production method thereof. The bumper comprises a panel and a fiber reinforcement composite layer plate, wherein the panel is bonded with the fiber reinforcement composite layer plate; the fiber reinforcement composite layer plate consists of a plurality of fiber reinforcement composite material layers and a plurality of layers of resin matrixes; the fiber reinforcement composite material layers are obtained by laminating layers; and fibers in the fiber reinforcement composite material layers are coated with the resin matrixes. According to the bumper disclosed by the invention, the volume percent of the fiber reinforcement composite material layers is 20-80 percent. According to the production method disclosed by the invention, the bumper is produced by adopting a laminating and gluing process and a pressing and forming process. According to the bumper disclosed by the invention, the designability of the fiber reinforcement composite material and the decoration and impact resistance of the panel are fully utilized, the weight of the bumper is reduced, the appearance of the bumper is improved, the collision safety of various automobiles is improved and passersby and passengers are protected.
