Disclosed is a lubricant composition for a continuously variable transmission, which is obtained by blending (A) a mineral oil or PAO that has a sulfur content of not more than 0.03% by mass and a kinematic viscosity at 100 DEG C of 1.5-3 mm2/s (inclusive), (B) a mineral oil or PAO that has a sulfur content of not more than 0.03% by mass and a kinematic viscosity at 100 DEG C of 5.5-8 mm2/s (inclusive), (C) a PAO that has a kinematic viscosity at 100 DEG C of 30-400 mm2/s (inclusive) and (D) a polymethacrylate having a mass average molecular weight of 10,000-40,000 (inclusive) in specific blending amounts. The total amount of the component (C) and the component (D) is not less than 19% by mass, and the lubricant composition for a continuously variable transmission has a kinematic viscosity at 100 DEG C of 5.5-6.5 mm2/s (inclusive) and a kinematic viscosity at -20 DEG C of not more than 680 mm2/s. |
