abstract The invention belongs to the technical field of preparation of a cinnamic acid derivative, and particularly relates to a p-nitro-cinnamic acid metal complex and a preparation method and an application thereof. The complex is prepared by the following steps of: dissolving p-nitro-cinnamic acid into a sodium hydroxide solution; adding a sulfate aqueous solution of a transition group metal element to obtain a p-nitro-cinnamic acid metal salt; mixing the p-nitro-cinnamic acid metal salt with a diamine ammonia aqueous solution; adding a methanol solvent; and standing at the room temperature till methanol is volatilized completely to obtain the p-nitro-cinnamic acid metal complex, wherein the transition group metal element is copper, cobalt, cadmium, nickel or zinc. The p-nitro-cinnamic acid metal complex has high urease inhibitory activity and higher medicinal property, and can be used for preparing a urease inhibitor.
