abstract | The present invention provides a diffractive optical element and a manufacturing method thereof. The diffractive optical element comprises a substrate (1) which is composed of a first optical material including a first resin and has a diffraction grating (2) on the surface, and an optical adjustment layer (3) which is composed of a second optical material including a second resin and is provided on a substrate (1) to cover the diffraction grating (2). The refractive index of the first optical material is smaller than the refractive index of the second optical material. The wavelength dispersion of the refractive index of the first optical material is larger than the wavelength dispersion of the refractive index of the second optical material. The difference between the solubility parameters of the first resin and the second resin is greater than 0.8 [cal/cm<3>]<1/2> and less than 2.5 [cal/cm<3>]<1/2>. |
